Grooming to be Number One
Arcing turns on a bluebird day just got better. Known as a leader inthe industry for its long-standing commitment to grooming, Beaver Creekincreases its grooming by 33 percent this year. The resort has expandedits grooming efforts by 50 percent over the past three years. Four newsnowcats will join the fleet and provide 80 additional hours of groomingeach day. Working 20 hours per day with double passes and noon grooms,crews will focus on preparing more advanced terrain and grooming themajority of beginner and intermediate slopes daily. That meanswrinkle-free corduroy will carpet half the mountain's terrain--800acres--each day.
Return of The Talons Challenge

Two New Lifts Enhance Village-to-Village Experience
Beaver Creek enhances its village-to-village skiing and snowboardingexperience with the addition of two high-speed quad chairlifts and thecreation of Beaver Creek Landing, an alternative entry point for theexpert Talons terrain and Beaver Creek Mountain, scheduled to open Dec.18, 2004.
Park-ology Returns with New Championships
Met with rave reviews from parents and kids, Beaver Creek's Park-ologyprogram is back for a second season. This innovative park and pipeprogram features progressive learning terrain and weekly instruction foraspiring freeskiers and riders, ages three to 17, through the resort'sChildren's Ski and Snowboard School. Included in the program are threeterrain parks. A series of beginner and intermediate learningcompetitions for Park-ology students are scheduled throughout the winterto help aspiring jibbers hone their skills, learn park etiquette andbecome more comfortable in a competitive setting. Post-competition pizzaparties feature video analysis and prizes for all participants. Winter2004-2005 competition dates are Dec. 29, Feb. 23 and March 16.
