Copper Mountain, CO… Copper Mountain's summer events give guests every reason to enjoy summer in the high county, from sitting back and listening to national music acts to running half marathons and pedaling celebrated road rides.  Events including the Courage Classic and US Half Marathon let guests experience Copper Base Camp with days full of adventure and excitement followed by a village complete with fine meals, great shopping and comfy down pillows.  The Village at Copper will sing this summer, with performances from country star Vince Gill, classic rockers the Doobie Bros., guitar greats Peter Frampton and David Lindley, the jam band sounds of Disco Biscuits and Umphrey's McGee, and the hard rock of Bad Company and Vince Neil to name a few.

Derby Days, June 16, 2007
Teams will be racing go-karts on Copper's Ten Mile Speedway to win the prize of Derby Days Champion. BBQ and live performance by Jason Spooner to follow.  All proceeds benefit Summit Prevention Alliance. To enter call 970-968-2318 x 40906

 Bike Tour of Colorado , June 24-30, 2007
This week-long, fully-supported cycling tour covers a total of 418 miles and traverses eight Rocky Mountain passes. The tour makes a one night stop at Winter Park Resort, followed by two nights at Copper Mountain. www.bicycletourcolorado.com

 3 Ring Weekend, June 30-July 1, 2007
Copper gears up for Independence Day with a weekend dedicated to circus, music and adventure. Families can enjoy free cirque extreme performances throughout the Village at Copper, free live music from KC and the Sunshine Band and the Copper Chase adventure challenge. www.3Ringweekend.com

 Copper Chase, June 30-July 1, 2007
The Copper Chase, back for its third year, is a two-day adventure challenge combining mountain biking, running, orienteering, high ropes course elements and a 3,000+ elevation gain!  US Half Marathon, July 15, 2007
The Copper Mountain US Race Series Half Marathon makes its debut in 2007. In addition to the half marathon through the scenic Rocky Mountains, runners can test their skills with the family style 5k run or the kids run. Trancegression Festival, July 14-15, 2007

 Courage Classic, July 20-23, 2007
The Courage Classic returns to Copper in 2007 for the 18th annual 3-day, 157-mile bike tour, to benefit The Children's Hospital.  Enjoy routes from Leadville to Summit County and back with quiet backcountry roads, challenging climbs and picturesque views.  Copperelcomes the sounds of Jakarta for a free performance on Saturday evening.  To register, visit www.couragetours.com.

 Guitar Town, July 28-29, 2007
Music's greatest guitar legends convene for Guitar Town at Copper, July 28-29, for a weekend of free top-notch entertainment from Dickey Betts and Great Southern, David Lindley, Peter Rowan & Tony Rice Quartet, Junior Brown, John Jorgenson Quintet, Lee Roy Parnell, Mark Selby and more. The Copper Triangle has long been considered one of Colorado's classic alpine road rides. The Mini Coopers return to Copper for 2007 for the 2nd annual rally of both new and classic Mini's. These unique autos motor through the high alpine roads each day with several organized drives planned each day. www.mini5280.org

 Copper Country, September 1-2, 2007
Vince Gill, Doobie Brothers, Peter Frampton and Del McCoury Band will grace the Copper Country stage Sept. 1-2.  Copper Country attendees will enjoy free activities including the Copper Country Rodeo Championship, the Vendor Village and Fine Artist Pavilion and the Boot Scoot Street Party featuring KYGO's Flap 'n Jacks at West Lake.  Throughout the weekend, the Copper Corral is the place for the kids with free Pony Rides, Petting Zoo and Face Painting.  Copper Country tickets are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.com and the Copper/Frisco Information Center.  For complete event information including ticket pricing, please visit www.coppercountryfest.com.

Saturday Night Street Parties and Burning Stones Outdoor Theatre, June 16 – August 25
Enjoy live music in an intimate setting after a day of Base Camp adventures.  Copper's West Lake Overlook welcomes performers every Saturday from 6:00-8:30 pm.  After listening to music, enjoy a movie under the stars with the mountains as your backdrop.  Bring your family, friends and a cozy blanket to Burning Stones Plaza and then sit back and enjoy the movie! This is a free event taking place most Saturdays beginning June 16, some events take place on Fridays.  Movies begin at approximately 8:45 pm in Copper's Burning Stones Plaza, weather permitting.
