Great Deal! ASC Announces All-For-One Pass

PARK CITY, UTAH July 13, 2004 - Citing it as the best deal in eastern skiing, the American Skiing Company announced this week an unprecedented season pass that provides skiing and riding at all six of its eastern resorts next winter for as little as $349.

The ALL FOR ONE PASS, as it is called, is now available for sale and will be valid for the 2004-2005 season at Killington, Mount Snow/Haystack and Pico in Vermont, Sunday River and Sugarloaf/USA in Maine and Attitash in New Hampshire. The flagship passes are the $349 Bronze with just 14 black-out days spread across the season, and the $599 Gold pass, which is unlimited, providing skiing and riding everyday of the season. A Super Senior Pass for $399 provides unlimited skiing for ages 70 and above. In total, there are five different ALL FOR ONE PASSES available in limited quantities with varying price points and benefits attached to each. These prices are valid until Aug. 30, 2004 and following that, there are incremental increases for each of the products available.

"We are excited about the unprecedented opportunity these interchangeable season passes provide to grow the sport," said Chip Carey, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for ASC. "Skiing and snowboarding are two of the most exciting outdoor activities you can do in the winter. Making these sports more affordable is a focus of the American Skiing Company. The more affordable, the more exposure skiing and riding will get with families and young people. And that is our future!"

The ALL FOR ONE PASS is modeled after the highly successful Sunday River and Attitash interchangeable Season Pass offered last season, which consumers heralded for its affordability and flexibility. "We are building on its success, having learned a lot from it and about our guest's skiing habits and usage. We have fine-tuned the number we will sell and adjusted blackout dates based on that research," explained Carey.

There will be only a limited number of the ALL FOR ONE PASS available. Carey said limiting sales and having blackout days allows the company to control the overall resort experience. "We are very aware of the balance needed in the number sold and when they can be used so as to keep the high level of experience that our guests are accustomed to."

Although there are other multi-area season passes offered in the industry, particularly in the west, this is the most affordable Season Pass product to provide skiing and riding at six different ski resorts. The ALL FOR ONE PASS offers additional benefits, which include lodging discounts at the company's eastern properties.

Interested skiers and snowboarders can call the individual resorts or go online to AllForOnePass.com or to the resorts' web sites to purchase. "I highly recommend people go there to buy their passes soon," Carey said. "This is a good deal and we expect them to sell out."
