Snowbird Receives Nearly Three Feet of New Snow

Snowbird, Utah - Following an unusually dry January in Little CottonwoodCanyon, Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort received nearly three feet of snow inthe last 48 hours. As the clouds finally cleared early Monday, the snowstakes at Snowbird read 32 inches from the storm and 22 inches in the last24 hours.

Snowbird is now reporting an 80-inch base.

"Almost three feet of new snow and blue skies made today one of the bestdays in recent memory," said Dave Fields, Snowbird's Director of PublicRelations. "February is a critical month for the ski industry and we're offto a great start."

Snowbird averages 500 inches of annual snowfall.
