The Snow Report With Halley O'Brien

Want to know how much it snowed at your favorite resort? Keep movin’.

Want a funny, informative view of resorts, events, and happenings in the ski industry? You’re in the right place.

About Halley O’Brien:

The art of The Snow Report: It's a 4:30 a.m. alarm and infinite cups of coffee. It's the privilege of first turns and last chairs. It's the ability to turn powder days into pictures, and lemons into lemonade. It's telling stories, and entertaining the people that love the mountains just as much as you do.

Basically, it's one of the best jobs ever. And no one knows that better than Halley. Halley O'Brien is a ski industry storyteller, hailing from Boulder, Colorado by way of New Jersey and Vermont.

She began her career as Snow Reporter at Mount Snow, Vermont where she pioneered one of the first video snow report shows called the "Mount Snow Minute." After a season-long stint there, Halley returned to her home state of New Jersey and became Mountain Creek’s public relations and multimedia manager.

Now a Colorado resident, Halley hosts and produces a variety of web and television shows throughout the ski industry, including the SnoCountry Snapshot, The Weather Channel’s No Boundaries, and, now, The Snow Report.

But if all of that doesn't ring a bell, you probably recognize her from your local dive bar's karaoke night. She was the one fearlessly belting out the entire Disney collection. She makes no apologies.

reviews of The Snow Report with Halley O'Brien
I'm looking forward to Halley's reports. I will be having my 75 birthday this coming March and if George H.W. Bush can jump out of airplanes I can ski down a mountain on my birthday. All I need is an affordable place to stay in Vail Valley.
Does Jeff Temple actually fart as he answers the phone at the start of your teaser video?
Ski Brule, Iron River, Michigan is open and making snow.

Halley, How do we feel when we get a snow day? AWESOME! To quote Jim Carry "The sun is out and the powder is BITCHIN'!" Ski's are sharpened and waxed! See you on the East Coast Slopes! Happy Holidays! Long Island Rick
Halley another great video. Keep up the good work.
About the Jay Peak grinch... Jay made a grinch out of me when I decided to stay overnight... I went to the hotel at thend of the day to rent a room and they told me that I had to pay for double occupancy, plus 2 passes for the waterpark and 2 ski tickets even if I was alone... 360?....u.s.... Home I went... Really like your videos!
Halley You have nice teeth. Not in a weird way. Thanks for the Jay peak story. It was scary. Or maybe that's just east coast ice. BC skiing is berry berry good! Ss

Dear Halley (Vivacious vixen of the snow!), Wishing you a happy new year!
Dear Halley, Can you please check the tracking number on that box of snow you mailed to the East Coast? It does not appear to have arrived yet in the Northeast.
Love this - good stuff Halley. Denver 27, Panthers 24. And I bleed blue too, go Giants!
Halley, you liberal cupid you. I can't believe you created a mix-marriage with Lex and Julianna -- a skier and a boarder. Quite a scandal.

Answer Halley's question at the end of Episode 10: The Late, Great Shane McConkey introduced the first Rocker Ski commercially. May his Legacy live on!
