Aspen/Snowmass, CO - (News Release) - The skiing and snowboarding season will make an encore appearance this June with Aspen/Snowmass' first summer skiing/snowboarding instructional camp and mini-terrain park at Snowmass.

The Camp Aspen/Snowmass Riding Series, June 5-22, will offer daily and weekly instruction on the specially-built terrain park, combined with mountainboarding, skateboarding and paintball. Campers can learn new tricks and master old ones under the guidance of top pros from the Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen/Snowmass.

The camp is open to campers ages 6-14, level 5 and above skiers/snowboarders. Campers can choose between full-day and half-day options, with a combination of winter and summer activities. The camp is open Monday through Friday, with private lessons available on the weekends on a space-available basis.

In addition, skiing and riding will be offered on the NEW Velvet Falls Glacier (weather permitting) on the weekends of June 10-11, June 17-18 and June 24-25. Uploading will be on the Burlingame lift and skiers/riders will be able to hike to the Velvet Falls Glacier to reach a mix of beginner and intermediate funboxes and rails. Access will be on the Burlingame lift. Lift tickets are $4 for children and $6 for adults. The number of skiers/riders will be limited to ensure a quality experience and access will be on a first come first served basis.

The snow park area designed exclusively for this program features boxes, rails, tables, dragon tails and much more. Skiers/riders must be level 5 or above to participate. Private, daily and weekly rates with rentals are available at an additional fee. Costs for the camp are $120 for a full day with a choice of two activities, $65 for a half-day with one activity, or $500 for five days with two activities per day.
