Telluride Casual Dining

The Sweet Life

The Sweet Life
sweet life restaurant
This family-friendly diner-style restaurant specializes in all types of sweets, as well as a variety of burgers, salads, and hot dogs.

This restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and is very kid friendly. They make multiple different sweets, including over 250 flavors of homemade ice cream, cupcakes, and s’mores.  Start out with some grilled cheese dippers: grilled cheese sticks that you dip in tomato soup.  Try the Rachel, for a different take on the classic Reuben: oven roasted turkey, coleslaw, and melted Swiss cheese and special sauce. They’ve also got a huge selection of hot dogs, burgers, and salads.

Poachers Pub

Poachers Pub
The friendly staff makes this place a local favorite.

Remember those locals you met on the chairlift who told you which runs to ski today? They probably also told you about Poachers Pub: the place to be on the mountain to socialize with the locals from Telluride while enjoying your hot roast beef sandwich. The friendly staff makes the pub a great catch; most of the people working there are veterans of the restaurant and the mountain. In the winter, they have après-ski drink specials, and you can satisfy your late night munchies easily because their kitchen doesn't close until midnight.

The Hop Garden

The Hop Garden
Kick back after a long day of skiing on the patio of this Telluride hot-spot.

Margarita Mondays and Whiskey Wednesdays—yes please. Telluride's Hop Garden has daily après-ski specials as well as these delightful weekday treats. The outside patio is the perfect place to kick back with one of the 10 beers they have on tap after a long day of skiing. If you're hungry try the "Skier's Union" burger: a blend of sirloin, tenderloin, and ribeye, and housed in a bun locally produced at an Amish Bakery.
