A-Basin Turns On the Guns

The race is on, folks. Colorado's Arapahoe Basin, one of the hardcore havens of the high country, turns on its snowguns tonight -- though they've already been blessed with a starter layer this week courtesy of Mother Nature. A-Basin is pushing to become the first Colorado resort to open this season, continuing a seasons-long battle between itself and Loveland Ski Area, just over the Continental Divide.
