British Columbians unhappy about the 2010 Olympics; Oregonians not so much
Turns out not everybody is looking forward to the 2010 Olympics, the Seattle Times reports. A host of Whistler locals (and some Vancouverites) are unhappy about road and school closures planned for the Games' duration, while ski-rental and gear shops worry that tourists will be too busy watching competitions to bother with actual skiing. For some people, though, the gripes aren't unwelcome. The folks at Oregon's Mt. Bachelor used the news to tweak their fellow resort via Twitter, suggesting Washington-area skiers skip the cattle call (and the border crossing) and visit Oregon's sure-to-be-quieter slopes.

It seems that there are many sports who wish to be in the Olympics so why the argument? They should use the opportunity to either watch history or go somewhere else to ski.
