Are You the Ultimate Ski Bum?
Revelstoke Mountain Resort

To us, the Kootenays are a bit like Oz, or El Dorado or Shangri-La: an almost mythical place, full of wild beauty and crazy steeps; Revelstoke, Fernie, and rest of the resorts of British Columbia's Powder Highway; the very birthplace of heliskiing. A skier could hit the Highway and almost never return, lost in a swath of blue sky and deep powder. Sound like your kind of life? Ours too. Lucky for you, Kootenay Rockies Tourism is offering up the Ultimate Ski Bum contest. The grand prize sounds like something out of a dream: three months on the Powder Highway with free lift tickets to all of its resorts, 15 days of heli- and catskiing, and all transportation and accommodation paid for.

Yep -- three months. All free. Lift tickets? Free. Lodging? Free. Heliskiing? Free. Between October 5th and November 22nd, you can submit a 90-second video explaining why you deserve the title of Ultimate Ski Bum. Better start working on that goggle tan.
