American Skiing Company magnate wants to lead Maine
One of ski country's biggest cheeses has decided to run for public office. Les Otten, the present or former owner of Sugarbush and Mount Snow ski resorts in Vermont and Cranmore and Attitash in New Hampshire -- and the onetime big poppa of American Skiing Company -- is running for governor in the state of Maine. According to the Vermont Times Argus, Otten announced his intentions last Monday, saying he wanted to become the beleaguered state's "job creator in chief". We don't care what political party they're from, fellow skiers running for office will always get our endorsement -- at least on those planks of their platform that concern getting more folks on snow. Go Big O!

Yeah there are some harsh feelings im management at former ASC resorts about that guy, I bet they're rolling in their cubicles about even being mentioned in the same article as him.
he'll probably screw up the state like he screwed the skiing world with that disaster called American Ski Company
