Big Snows in Tahoe

One of the bad things about Mondays is, well, it's Monday. Getting the body and brain moving on a Monday morning is one of the harder efforts of the modern industrial-era human being must make. Alright, so maybe that's hyperbole -- or maybe it's just that we're feeling particularly sluggish on this particular Monday. Thankfully, one of the good things about Mondays is that the Internet works on Mondays. And one of the good things about the Internet is it contains all manner of excellent distractions from the fact that it's Monday. For instance, this website. Or, for another fine example, this video, sent to us by the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, taken at Stateline, Nev., Friday afternoon. What does it show? Snow. Lots of snow -- and more of the lovely stuff fell over the weekend, putting some Tahoe-area totals in the foot-plus range. (This is the same storm that pushed Heavenly's opening back a day.)
