The World's Fastest Snow Racer Unveiled
We know January is still a ways away, but here's a sneak peek: One thing we're writing about in that issue is people who like to drive on ice. Specifically, the Our Gang Ice Racers -- a bunch of Colorado locals (and the occasional out-of-towner) who like to haul their hot-modded Jeeps and Subarus up to Georgetown Reservoir, about an hour outside of Denver, and tear around racetracks on the frozen lake. For fun. (Hey -- we tried it, and despite our sad last place, we had an ice-bucket full of fun.) Seems like racing on frozen surfaces is a popular pastime, because now, via Techeblog, comes this video of a monster snow racer. Rally racing superstar (and founder of alt-sport cobbler DC Shoes) Ken Block has unveiled his 400-horsepower TRAX STi, a seriously modified Subaru built for hauling tushie. We're guessing this one's probably not street legal, except maybe in mountain country.

I wish my snow car was something like this... guaranteed I would never miss another powder day!
