Olympics notwithstanding, looks like Whistler Blackcomb's set to have a big ol' season. The British Columbia, Canada-based resort opened this past Saturday -- earlier than expected -- thanks to some recent snow-crazy storms. The most recent of these dumped 28 inches in 24 hours. Yes, that's a two and an eight. I believe the kids call that "going off." (We love these early season big ones, as if you couldn't already tell.) Skiers were greeted by a 61-inch snow base on Saturday, and if the weatherman's right, this is only the beginning.
