Winter Park Ski Train Rides Again
Winter Park Ski Train Rides Again
The Winter Park Ski Train isn't exactly the speediest way to get to the slopes, but it's a fun one. Which would you rather do on your way to the ski hill -- sit in zero-to-60-to-zero traffic, or have a nice breakfast and read the paper? We'd prefer the latter, and we'd guess you would too. So when the train went kaput last year -- after former owner Anschutz Co. sold the line to a Canadian company -- we were a bit bummed out. No longer. Rio Grande Scenic Railroad will restart the Denver-Winter Park service on December 27th, traveling weekends and certain holidays, until the end of March. Trains leave Denver's Union Station at 7 a.m. and arrive in Winter Park just after 9 a.m. If you plan to ride before February 7, pick up a special "Ride and Glide" fare: $79 for a round-trip ticket and a Winter Park lift ticket. Pretty sweet deal, if you ask us.

I ski almost every year here in my home town in northern Canada. We only have a small hill but it costs just as much as your lift pass!!! I've always wanted to go on a trip like this, I hope that you would post more beautiful pictures!
I wanted to thank you for this great read!! I definitely enjoying every little bit of it I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff you post.
I think you meant "we'd prefer the latter." I'm sure none of us want to sit in 0-60-0 traffic!
