America's skiing sweetheart credits her team of coaches for her stomping form this season

When we say we're "in the zone," usually we mean the Deli Zone sandwich shop over on Boulder's University Hill. But sometimes we mean we're skiing "in the zone" -- slicing the fall line like a hot knife, thinking not about how tired or old or unskilled we are but about how bomber and awesome and stardom-worthy our skiing is. Then you have what Lindsey Vonn means when she says she's "in the zone": five consecutive World Cup downhill wins, with four super-G podium spots (including two wins) along the way. We used to know a racer who called that kind of streak "stomping form." Vonn's been stomping this season, that's for sure, racking up wins at Lake Louise, Val d'Isere, Austria's Haus im Ennstal and, this past weekend, Italy's Cortina d'Ampezzo. America's skiing superstar credits her coaches and technical team with helping her up her game. As she writes in her regular column for the Denver Post, "Having such a great team makes everything less stressful for me, and makes doing what I need to do much easier." While we're sure the Olympics aren't going to be "easy," exactly, we're sure that team approach is going to once again push Vonn onto that podium in a few weeks' time.
