More Cowbell!

Here at the SKI Magazine offices, we actually have a shelf lined with cowbells picked up from ski-race venues—and a few unsavory bars—around the world. But we realize that, not living in such World Cup hotspots as Val d'Isere or Saint Moritz, some people might have a hard time finding a good cowbell to ring—say, while watching Lindsey Vonn crush all comers during the Vancouver Olympics this month. So we found an alternative: A clever couple of guys in Boulder, Colo., wrote up the Cowbell 2010 iPhone app. Load it up, shake it, and clang away. Because, as the CB2010 tagline says, "You can't clap in mittens." Or with a stein of Schneider-Weisse in one hand, for that matter. The app also comes with a full Olympic event schedule and a Twitter feed following hundreds of athletes. Ring-a-ding!
