Skiing to Rebuild Chile
[ April 21, 2010 - 5:13pm ]
by Jennifer Davis
Ski this summer and help earthquake victims in Chile.
When an 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck Chile on February 27, 2010, towns on the country’s Pacific Coast were heavily damaged. The ensuing tsunami destroyed countless homes and claimed the lives of nearly 500 citizens.
PowderQuest Tours, a U.S.-based company that organizes ski tours in South America, has teamed up with the non-profit Save the Waves to provide relief to those devastated by the earthquake in Chile. When you purchase a tour through PowderQuest, $100 will be donated to Save the Waves for reconstruction efforts on Chile’s Pacific Coast.
Ski South America while helping those in need. What could be better?
