Give Dad a rare gift this Sunday: a ski day in June.

It’s the middle of June and, for most people, ski season has been overtaken by warm weather and summer fun. But for the residents living on Vancouver Island up in British Columbia, Mount Washington is giving them one last shot at getting some turns in on the white stuff. Due to an unseasonably wet and cool spring, the Mount Washington Alpine Resort has enough snow to re-open one run, Linton’s Loop, for the Father’s day weekend this Saturday and Sunday. The resort saw a reported 600 inches of snow this past winter, helping them make this weekend the first time ever in their 32-year history that they will be open this late. Lift tickets will be $25, and dads get $10 tickets when accompanied their children. So bring the family, and probably the sunscreen, to Mount Washington this weekend for some summer skiing fun.
