Markewitz workshop
Ever wanted to learn how to take the perfect ski photograph? Scott Markewitz wants to teach you.

This winter, world-renowned ski photographer Scott Markewitz wants to teach you his craft. He’s hosting a series of photography workshops, at Snowbird and in Alaska with EpicQuest and Chugach Powder Guides.

Beginner and Intermediate photographers will learn the tools and tricks for action and scenic photography.  Advanced photographers will be able to improve their skills by working so closely with Markewitz. The only photographer named to SKI’s 100 Most Influential Skiers on All Time, Markewitz’s work has appeared in Outside, Men’s Journal, Mountain Bike, and of course, SKI and Skiing.

The Snowbird workshop will be hosted at the Cliff Lodge, with lift tickets, early Trams and breakfast included in the package price. You’ll spend your days on the slopes practicing your skills with a group other student photographers. Packages start at $1,250 per person. For more, visit Snowbird.com.

Want to try your skills on a bigger stage? Head to Girwood, AK, where Scott and Dave Reddick, photo editor at Powder Magazine, will show you the ropes.  Private helicopter tours in an A-Star B-3 helicopter will allow you to not only shoot this playground, but get some heli turns in, too.

For more info, visit ChugachPowderGuides.com, or Snowbird.com.
