Ski Longer with Daylight Savings

With the extra sunlight thanks to springing forward, many resorts have extended their hours of operation.

Along with changing its clocks on Saturday night, Bolton Valley Resort officials have changed the hours of operation for skiing and riding for the remainder of the season. Beginning Monday, the resort will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, and from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. On Saturdays, lifts will turn from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Powderhorn, in Colorado, is springing forward along with the beginning of daylight saving time. Beginning Monday, March 14th, all lifts will open at 10am and close at 5pm. Regular season lift hours are 9am to 4pm.

Telluride Ski Resort will be taking full advantage of the longer days and premiere snow conditions this spring as Daylight Savings begins Sunday, March 13. With warm days and cold nights approaching, and the snow piling up this March, the resort will shift its current operating hours of 9am-4pm to 10am-5pm beginning this Sunday in order for skiers to make the most of these great conditions.

March 17 – Buttermilk – Lifts open until 6 p.m.
The Summit Express lift and the Buttermilk Terrain Park will be open until 6 p.m.  The theme will be St. Patrick’s Day. The Cliffhouse will be open for food and beverage options until 6 p.m. and then the party moves down to Bumps at Buttermilk Mountain Lodge.
 
Saturday, March 26 – Aspen Mountain – Silver Queen Gondola open until 6 p.m.
Lift served skiing/riding will continue until 6 p.m. and the party continues with the Sundeck Moonlight Dinner, featuring dinner and drink specials and live music starting at 5:30 p.m.  The last download is at 9:30 p.m.
 
Friday, April 1 – Snowmass – Lifts open until 6:30 p.m.
Village Express, Big Burn, Coney Glade and the Snowmass Terrain Park will be open until 6:30 p.m. The Cirque will run until 6 p.m. conditions permitting. Sam’s Smokehouse will host a party from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. and then the party will head down to Sneaky’s Tavern in Snowmass Base Village. The event theme is April Fool’s Day Luau.

Exhibition and Loge lifts will be open until 6:30 p.m. and Highland Bowl will be open until 5 p.m.  The Merry-Go-Round will be open until 6:30 p.m.
