  • Getting There Copper is 75 miles west of Denver and Denver International Airport. Air service also is offered at the smaller Eagle County Airport, 40 miles west of Copper.
  • When To Go March averages the most snow, with 52 inches.

  • Dining Out The main village is a construction zone, so dining is limited. Try the new Molly B's Restaurant, complete with a 54-foot-long bar. For casual fare, head to O'Shea's.
  • Après-Ski Sip a beer on the Copper Station deck. On Sundays, locals flock to Farley's Pub for "Buck-A-Bone" ribs. Or check out Kokomo's and entertainer Mo Dixon.
  • Kicking Butt Copper Bowl offers a "backcountry" experience in-bounds. Diehards hike the rim to showboat on Tucker Mountain's north face.

  • Activities Families should head to the East Village for tubing or to the cross-country center at Union Creek for nordic skiing and snowshoeing.
  • Don't Miss Stop for a no-frills BBQ lunch at the base of S and R lifts.
