Let's face it, a trip to ski country isn't cheap. With the cost of food, lodging, lift tickets and the occasional rentals, a ski vacation is enough to drive you to the poor house. However some resorts offer great deals, but do not publicize them. Here is a sneak peak at some of the "local deals" found at a few resorts around the country.
Snowshoe Mountain, W. Va.
Every Tuesday at the Junction, get $1 appetizers at the closest eatery to the lifts. The one-buck appetizers range from alligator ribs to zesty wings.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Colo.
