Visualize a dime lying flat under the instep of your boot. While standing still in a wide-track position, press down on the imaginary dime with one foot.
Notice how the ski rolls slightly onto its inside edge. Now, on gentle terrain, still in a wide-track position, repeat the same exercise one foot at a time. After a few tries, you'll feel the ski slowly change direction with no other effort on your part. Practice this exercise often to develop stability, edge-control and a centered stance without expending too much energy.
