Usually it takes a year or two to work out the fit and performance kinks of a new boot model. Not so with Alltrack, an important new series from Rossignol. Not only does it offer a walk/hike mode that testers said has no negative effect on skiability, but it embodies the important strides Rossi has made in recent years in dialing in fit. There are 12 models, including five for women, in flexes ranging from 70 to 130, and a choice of medium or wide fit. All are roomy enough to be comfortable (especially in the toe) but snug where you need it for performance.
