As good as the seminal 7 Series has been, it got even better this year. The key technology, AirTip (high-end models only), features a honeycomb of air pockets in the tip and tail. AirTip concentrates the mass of the ski under the foot, reducing swing weight in a way that gives the already playful 7 Series shapes an additional measure of quickness and maneuverability. Waist widths cover all the freeride bases, from a powder-ready 120 mm (Squad) to an all-conditions 98 (Sin). And speaking of those two models, each dominated its test category (Deep Snow and Mixed Snow/West, respectively), leaving no doubt in testers’ minds.
