“We were expecting jackets that were technical and stylish,” Cusic said. “All of the contestants delivered.” But in the end, Paul Fronckowiak won this year’s RECLAIM design contest with his RECLAIM jacket design, which featured a glove or hat holding strap at the left shoulder, an avalanche safety strap in the center back of the jacket, a pocket containing a key ring, a powder skirt, and fully functional elbow patches. The jacket is also waterproof. As the contest winner, he will have the chance to work with the 686 design team to create a new jacket for a future winter line.
