Backpacking Essentials
Hennessy Ultralite Backpacker Asym Classic

I used to think hammocks were only for people like my hippy neighbor to lie on while zoning out to the Grateful Dead. It wasn't until I went backpacking that I discovered they're the most practical sleep systems on the trail. You don't have to set up a tent, lug a sleeping bag and sleeping pad or find a smooth, level surface to lie on. All you have to do is tie the Ultralite Backpacker Asym Classic between two trees and post up for a good night's sleep. The mosquito netting is a life-saver in the deep woods or muggy areas. Most important, it comes with a rain fly, so you'll stay dry and won't be sleeping on the cold, wet ground. My hammock has become my favorite place to sleep, not just when backpacking but also when I'm zoning out to Bruce Springsteen.
