Bad Weather
Play Bad Weather Away: Line 3
Photo: Jonathan Selkowitz

You don’t need a mile-long mogul run to work on bump skills. A spot with alternating flat and sloping angles will do just fine.

A. Plant your pole solidly just before your ski tips reach the breakover. Retract your legs and begin your turn at the crest of the bump.

B. Drop your tips so your skis match the angle of the slope, and extend your legs to keep contact with the snow.

C. Upon landing, as you get compressed, tighten your core to keep your balance even as the terrain changes.
