We've got all kinds of skiers on staff: big-mountain AK fans, terrain-park rats, backcountry sun-rise skinners, no-one-cares-that-you-Telemark freeheelers, and even a boarder (or two...). But me? I'm the unashamed resort skier: Never been in a bird, love checking out the hotels, and routinely hit the local fave restaurant, après bar or spa rather than the halfpipe at most resorts. That's me. But that doesn't mean I don't love to ski.
As travel editor I visit many, many ski resorts. I'm also mom to three little kiddos who love to slide on snow. So until they're ready to bust through the backcountry gate, a resort skier I will remain, and my setup represents just that.
