Don’t skip this step. Stretching after (and even during) your workout not only improves flexibility, but may also increase strength gains and prevent injury. When you’re cramming for the exam, you need all the help you can get.
Confession: I don’t like yoga. But I can’t get around the fact that it works. Yoga’s sun salutation targets all the muscles you just used. Chances are, you know the sun salutation. If you don’t, Google it. Or take a class. Or hire your own personal yogi. If you just can’t go there, at least dredge your memory for some old-school quad, hamstring and inner-thigh stretches, and conclude your training session with those. Hold each stretch for 15 to 30 seconds.
