Freeski Las Lenas Camps with Pro Skier Elyse Saugstad
Elyse Saugstad
Pro skier Elyse Saugstad grew up skiing Alyeska, Alaska, and now she lives in Squaw Valley. In 2008, she won the Freeride World Tour, an elite-level big-mountain competition. This August, she will be guiding two-week freeski camps in Las Lenas, Argentina, with a European company called Zekeseven. This isn’t your ordinary ski camp. Sure, Elyse will offer tips on improving your technique and mastering big-mountain terrain. But there will also be a cameraman along—French ski filmmaker Laurent Jamet—who will put together a ski film starring you. During your 10 days of skiing at Las Lenas, you will stay at Virgo Hotel, a five star slopeside hotel. And at the end of the trip, you will head to Mendoza’s wine country for two days of wine tasting. Click to the next slide for our interview with Elyse and more photos of her.
