If you waited to buy, hoping to get a late-season deal on new skis, you might be out of luck. Retailers and ski manufacturers alike report that key models have already sold out, or will soon, thanks to a strong December selling season in much of the country.The shortages may not be permanent in all cases—some manufacturers will scramble to rush 2013-14 products to the shelves—so-called “early intros.” But those amount to a mere sprinkling of products.
