How To Ski - Inbounds: Off The Map
Three Essentials of Skiing Off The Map
Photo: Jonathan Selkowitz

Keep Moving

It may seem counter to your survival instinct, but as you approach a rollover or small cliff band, don’t stop.

Look Ahead

Flatten your skis to skid and slow down as you scope your next turn. Once you spot it, move confidently and in balance, and continue your descent.

Mix It Up

Don’t be a one-turn wonder: Have several turn types, such as a smear to scrub speed or retracting your legs over a roll for a quick direction change.
