Davenport climbs a semi-technical route on the northwest face of 14,345-foot Blanca Peak on Jan. 15, 2007. It was the second-to-last peak during a 362-day odyssey that spanned parts of two winters. If you subtract the time he took off between June 1, 2006 and Nov. 10, 2006, it means he climbed and skied all 54 of the 14ers, at a rate of about two per week over six months. His biggest push came between April 2 and May 8, 2006, when he ticked off 29 peaks in 45 days. http://www.skithe14ers.com/ target=_blank> Order your copy.
