If it were bigger than Jackson Hole, and just as steep, wouldn’t everyone go there? It is. They don’t. Go figure. But for ditching the crowds, scaring yourself a little, and reconnecting with your annoying older brother, Big Sky and adjacent Moonlight Basin more than suffice. No one ever said Montana wasn’t staggeringly beautiful. But do Big Sky and adjacent Moonlight Basin live up to the hype for big terrain? Hell, yes.
