Todd Casey, native of Rye, N.H., grew up skiing Sugarloaf, Maine (he’s a proud Bubblecuffer). After a dissolute semester at the University of New Hampshire, he split for Sun Valley, loaded chairs for a season, got serious about skiing, returned to Maine to attend the vaunted University of Maine Farmington Ski Industries Program, got a job instructing at Copper Mountain, and has lived there since. Summers are spent racing sailboats; by winter he’s a full-cert Level III instructor. Last year Casey’s wife, TK, took over as ski-school general manager. Was it a shock? “Nah, she’s been my boss for 17 years.”
