How many days did you ski last winter? Michael Rogan—SKI’s instruction editor, operations director at Portillo, Chile, USSA Team Academy fundamentals coach, and longtime partner of fellow tester Robin Barnes—says he’s been doing the back-to-back winter thing since 1989, typically skiing more than 300 days per year. “I kept track one year: 326 days. I only counted because I get asked that a lot.” Rogan is a native of Rhinebeck, N.Y., who started skiing at Catamount and got his start as an instructor at Pico, Vt. He’s the longest-standing member of the PSIA Demo Team (since 1996).
