Mountain Hotels Go Green
Viceroy Snowmass
Photo: David Matheson

Reduce, reuse, recycle—sound familiar? Take your kids to the Viceroy Snowmass and after skiing, they’ll come back to the hotel and learn a thing or two about recycling. The hotel is working to educate young guests about sustainability through their Generation V program which helps give them a better understanding about why being gentle with the environment is important. The hotel has the first electric car charging station in the area, but if you left your hybrid at home you can take the electric shuttle van around the Snowmass Village. Although the hotel has not yet been awarded LEED Certification, they expect their request to go through within the next few months.
