The King Pine area offered fantastic skiing, and most of the lifts again were just ski-on. Dust on crust was almost a non-issue this day; although in certain areas you could still hit icy patches under the snow, as the consistency was the same as the day before—just a very fine, very light champagne snow.
Around 1pm, Bracket Basin opened up. My sister Stef (co-owner of AlpineZone) and myself were nearly the first ones in the woods. We traversed into the woods. There were still some stumps and features that could be hit, but conditions overall were great, particularly on the lower-angle glades, where there were entire swathes of lines through the woods with not a single track on them.
It snowed all day again, and we gained another 6" of snow throughout the day. Sugarloaf claimed a total snowfall of 15- 18", and that sounds almost exactly right for what we experienced. We called it around 2:30 pm as we had our AZ Apres party in the Widowmaker lounge at 3.
