Not So Fresh: Mountain Resorts Gone Wild
JUST ANOTHER SKI TOWN

You can only count the days until the first snow. Visitors to Ski Dubai experience no such frustration. In a city that receives less than four inches of precipitation annually—and where the lowest temperature on record is a balmy 45 degrees—that’s some achievement. Opened in 2005 as the world’s biggest indoor ski slope, Ski Dubai offers about five acres, a vertical drop of 200 feet and three inches of fresh snow nightly (take that, Alta). Then again, there are about four guys to every girl in Dubai. Just like Jackson Hole.
