PowderQuest has teamed up with Save the Waves to get some work done. Why?

David Owen: My [Chilean] wife's parents were living in Pelluhue, the epicenter of the quake. They got out alive but their house is pretty bad off. Many of their friends are now homeless due to the tsunami. It was really hard to see all this happen to such great people. We chose Save the Waves mainly because of their grassroots approach and I knew that the money we originally donated would get directly to the coastal towns (like Pelluhue) with out a lot of red tape. We made a donation right after the disaster and Save the Waves immediately got fresh water, water filters, tents, blankets and sleeping bags to those in need.
