What is the situation like on the ground in Chile?

David Owen: While the ski resorts and most of Chile were not affected, it is a total different story on the coast.  It is starting to get cold and the winters on the coast are harsh.  Imagine living under a plastic tarp on a beach of the Pacific Northwest in February. That is what some of these families will be facing here in a few months. People are very worried, and while the Chilean government is helping out, it is essential that non-profits like Save the Waves are a part of the solution.  We are confident our donations will help rebuild.
