Presidential Peaks
Mount Garfield
Photo: iagoarchangel via Flickr

Nestled into Grafton County, New Hampshire, is Mount Garfield, a 4,495-foot peak named after our 20th President, James A. Garfield. This peak belongs to the White Mountain Range and hosts a section of the Appalachian Trail that zigzags along the mountain's ridge. Mount Garfield is one of the best East Coast destinations for hiking, climbing, and mountaineering.
