A. Start smartApproach and enter a chute from the side—rather than the middle—so you can take advantage of its complete width to make your first turn.
B. Follow your polesPick out markers—two or three turns ahead— where you’ll plant your poles, but keep them swinging. That keeps your body moving and your turns flowing.
C. Take advantageUse the sides of the chute. They’re natural speed-control features and good places to change your edges. And you must change your edges.
D. Do not stopPlant your pole, and commit to your turn. If you hesitate here, even for a second, you’ll miss your turning window and have to stop completely.
