August 22nd -24th: Women’s pro stage race featuring elite level female racers from across the county competing in a multi day event.
August 21st: 8th Annual Aspen/Snowmass Ride for the Cure - Benefits the fight against breast cancer. Includes a 100, 50, 30, or 10-mile road ride.
August 25th – 28th: Mountain Summit: Mountain Film in Aspen - Award-winning documentary films, legendary outdoor adventurers and inspiring political activists converge for this unique and interactive four-day festival.
August 27th: Aspen Backcountry Marathon- Utilizing the extensive network of trails that surround Aspen, this full marathon is run almost exclusively on dirt trails.
August 27th – 28th: 2nd Annual Big Aspen BBQ Block Party - Barbecue extravaganza featuring the country’s top pitmasters serving up ’cue all weekend long. Accompanied by amazing live music at the base of Aspen Mountain.
August 28th: Power of Four Mountain Bike Race - This race’s unique course will require participants to conquer pieces of Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk and Highlands. A mix of terrain covering over 10,000 feet of climbing will make this race an absolute epic.
