Crested Butte Wine and Food Festival
The food and wine festival for the rest of us. Crested Butte omits the snobbery and sky-high prices associated with so many gastronomic festivals and adds its unique culture and character to this four-day event benefitting the Crested Butte Land Trust, an organization protecting open space.
The festival includes wine seminars and two Celebrity Chef Tour Dinners staged in the historic Uley's Cabin, mid-way up the ski area. The highlight of the festival is Saturday’s Grand Tasting, which features more than 250 different wine varietals and appetizers from local restaurants. Tickets are $70 (compare that to Aspen’s Food & Wine Classic Grand Tasting at $395 a pop).
