Mix up the ski weekend with some stand-up paddling on Lake Tahoe, road cycling around the lake or mountain biking at Northstar-at-Tahoe. Incline Village hosts the Tahoe Firecracker Trail Trek, a 5K trail run, on July 4 as part of its “Red, White and Tahoe Blue” festivities.

On Saturday, July 2, Northstar hosts Beerfest & Bluegrass.

If you’re a fireworks junkie, there’s a possibility to catch multiple displays on two nights. On July 3, catch fireworks at Kings Beach  (7pm) and Squaw Valley (9:15pm). Tahoe City (9:30pm), Incline Village (9:30pm) and Truckee (dusk) shoot of their fireworks on July 4.
