Super Bowl Sunday on the Slopes
Sunset Grille and Tap Room

Super Bowl Sunday comes but once a year, but it’s hard to want to trade in a ski weekend for a seat on the couch. There is a solution, however. Many ski towns have great places to watch the game.

This year's game will be particularly exciting in the Northeast corridor of the country with New England and New York, both popular ski areas, going head-to-head on Sunday.

The Sunset Grille and Tap Room, Stowe, VT

Established in 1988 as the first sports bar in Stowe, The Sunset Grille contains 30 TV sets, a few of which are conveniently placed in the bathrooms, so you never have to miss a second of the game. They specialize in award-winning BBQ, deemed winners of the New England BBQ Championship in 2008.

The Sunset Grille will have prize giveaways every time the score changes during the game, and there will be food and beer specials all day long.

“We are both Giants and Patriots fans here, so for us, this Super Bowl is special, Sunset Grille Owner Richard Haab said. “In Stowe, it has been called the mother of all Super Bowl parties.”
