Tips from Black Diamond's Pro Skiers
How to Ski Powder
Photo: Sandra Gnandt

There was fresh snow to be found at Brighton that day, so skiers put their tips to use in the soft snow. One tip for skiing powder: Your tendency might be to sit in the back seat to keep your tips above the surface, but do your best to fight this by driving your hands forward and staying in the front seat as much as possible. Also, new, rockered skis or any ski with an early tip rise will help skis float in powder. Black Diamond had several of their powder-specific skis on hand that day, including the Megawatt and the Justice.
